All retreat and YTT participants receive free pickupfrom Pokhara Airport or your Lakeside hotel. Simply contact us 24 hours before arrival with your details and we'll arrange everything.

Transport Options

Taxi from Lakeside

NPR 800-1,200 (~$6-9) • 20-30 minute ride

The easiest option. Taxis are readily available throughout Lakeside. Always agree on the price before departure. Ask for 'Ghachowk' – most drivers know the area.

Taxi from Pokhara Airport

NPR 1,500-2,000 (~$11-15) • 30-40 minute ride

Available right outside the airport terminal. If you've booked a retreat with us, our driver will be waiting with a name sign at arrivals.

Motorcycle / Scooter Rental

NPR 600-800/day (~$5-6) • 20-25 minute ride

An adventurous option if you're comfortable on two wheels. The road is fully paved with some steep sections. Helmets are mandatory. Rentals available in Lakeside.

Local Bus

NPR 30-50 (~$0.30) • Infrequent schedule

The cheapest option but not recommended for first-time visitors due to unpredictable schedules and crowded conditions.

Driving Directions from Lakeside

  1. 1Head north from Baidam (Lakeside) toward Prithvi Chowk / Mahendrapul
  2. 2At the junction, proceed northwest toward Sarangkot / Naudanda
  3. 3Follow the uphill road through Khapaudi
  4. 4Before Sarangkot viewpoint, turn toward Ghachowk (ask locals if unsure)
  5. 5Continue through the village to the center at the road's end

Key Landmarks

  • •Prithvi Chowk – Junction with traffic lights (main reference point)
  • •Khapaudi – Last settlement before the climb
  • •Sarangkot Turnoff – Continue straight, don't ascend to the viewpoint
  • •Village School – You're close when you see it

Practical Tips

Use Google Maps and search "Yoga in Pokhara Ghachowk" for navigation
Phone signal is strong throughout the route (NTC and Ncell)
ATMs are only available in Lakeside – withdraw cash before coming
Arrive before dark if it's your first visit for easier navigation
The road is fully paved but has some steep curves – drive carefully
Local shops in Ghachowk have basics, but stock up in Lakeside for specific items
